Biathlete Now 30 Seconds Faster In Preparation for the Olympic Games Through Understand of Their Subsconscious ‘MINDSET’

We started working with the Czech Biathletes in the summer of 2016, with a target of preparing them for the Olympic Games in 2018.

How the biathletes have developed to date?

Working with both male and female Czech biathletes, they have now achieved and completed a successful season. Before and during the entire season they went through a long-term monitoring program. Working with SportMind professionals, we supported the delivery of up to 70 diagnostic measurements for each player, with two of the measurements for each athlete being a long profile mental diagnostic. This mental diagnostic revealed the athletes’ issues as well as potentials and revealed to their coach how to approach each individual’s development.

Against, and between the long profile diagnostic the short profiles (psychic energy) diagnostics were delivered for ‘benchmarking’ progress. The athletes attained information about their mental energy on daily basis. The coach and the athlete also attained information about athlete’s focus and readiness for the race before the actual events and again after each event. We measured their mental readiness for the race and the impact of the race result.

Comparisons of the ‘mental readiness’ and the results

Once the SportMind data was collected the coaches compared them with real race time results as well as against the physical tests completed. Several times during the season the SportMind consultant and the coach managed to resolve the psychic crises of an athlete. Coaches were given advice and influenced athletes to achieve better results due to their calmer mindsets and many seconds were saved by each athlete.

How will the Olympics unfold for the Biathletes?

Preparations for the Olympic Games continue and will culminate in Japan this year. There is a need to adjust each individual’s preparation for the coming 2017/2018 season.
The task is to restructure a number of the athletes’ associations in their brain so they do not go into the new season in the same way as the previous season.

“Diagnostics, through SportMind, certainly enhances the
viewing angle and potential of our Biathletes to increase
performance levels.” Ondřej Rybář, Head coach of Czech
National Biathlon Team

We hold high hopes for the success of the Czech biathletes and look for them to have the Winning Mindset at the Olympics… we will be watching with anticipation of medals!!
